Welcome to Tree Town Kennels LLC ...

Tree Town Kennels LLC is a family owned and operated working dog kennel located in Forest City, Iowa. TTK was established in 2017 by Andy Klein and his wife Amy Klein with the goal of providing a more cost-effective way to get highly trained police working dogs in the Midwest. TTK started with Andy training individual dogs and handlers on an 'as needed' basis and has expanded, with demand, to the point of hosting two basic handler classes per year: spring and fall. TTK is constantly expanding and evolving as demand for highly trained working dogs in the United States grows. Despite its rapid growth, TTK continues to provide one-of-a-kind support after the sale which makes each working dog team feel like they are part of the TTK family. TTK is your training specialist for all your police service canine solutions. We specialize in breeding, testing, selecting, importing, and training police service dogs for law enforcement and civilian agencies.

Co-Owner & HEAD TRAINER: Andy Klein

Trainer Andrew Klein is a certified law enforcement officer in the State of Iowa and a veteran of the United States Army where he served 8 ½ years as a Military Policeman in the Army Reserves.  After the September 11th Terrorist Attacks on the United States, Trainer Klein did a one-year deployment with the 4249th Port Security Company in support of Operation Nobel Eagle at Sunny Point, North Carolina.  Trainer Klein got his start in the working dog world in 1997, working security for Winnebago. While working for Winnebago, Trainer Klein trained and handled his first patrol K9. Trainer Klein then entered law enforcement with the Forest City Police Department starting in 2001 until 2009. In 2005 Trainer Klein helped start the K9 Unit for the Forest City Police Department, a program that is still active to this day.  In 2009 Trainer Klein left the Forest City Police Department to work for his current employer, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.  Trainer Klein is a current K9 handler for his agency, running K9 'Hola'.  In 2015 Trainer Klein was accredited as a Master Trainer through Dogs for Law Enforcement (DLE), which is a K9 training and certifying organization. In early 2016 Trainer Klein and his wife, Amy, started their family business Tree Town Consultants LLC (Tree Town Kennels LLC).  Trainer Klein has testified in Federal Court on behalf of K9 handlers and agencies and has been accredited an expert witness by the Federal Courts. While TTK continues to grow and expand Trainer Klein continues to do all of the odor imprinting for new dogs and maintains that what separates TTK from other kennels is that it is a family-owned business and that each K9 Team that leaves TTK is part of the Tree Town Kennels family.
